2008 Open Water Schedule

June 21 & 22. Saturday and Sunday, 10am to 4pm. Held in conjunction with Open Canoe Training Camp. July 27, Sunday, 10am to 4pm. August 2, Saturday, 10am to 4pm. August 10, Sunday, 10am to 4pm. Remaining Recreational Releases - open paddling... August 31, Sunday, 10am to 4pm. September 6, Saturday, 10am to 4pm. Summer Final Flow (with Julie's subtitle -- "Till we meet again") September 20, Saturday AND September 21, Sunday, 10am to 4pm. Celebrate the end of the paddling season at Wausau with us... Wausau Whitewater merchandise will be available for the first time at Recreational releases. Please Note: Please check this site for updates. Generally, the schedule is set for the season. Though there might be circumstances that result in cancellations or additions, this is highly unusual. For more information contact Julie Walraven (715-574-5263 ) or wkcc@dwave.net Hosted by Wausau Area Canoe and Kayak Organization Equipment Needed: Helmet, Approved life jacket (PFD), and boat flotation bags are required.  All paddlers are required to follow the buddy system.  Each paddler is responsible for their own safety. Fees: $10.00 with current ACA Membership Card and $15.00 without. New this year: Season Pass for $50. Buy early, come often! New this year: Join ACA through Wausau Whitewater's Paddle America Club. $30 for individual memberships and $40 for family memberships. Or sign up for the 6 month Special. All paddlers will be required to sign both the ACA and local waiver forms before using the course.

Pool Sessions

• March 4, 11, and 18. Tuesdays, 6 to 8pm – Roll Practice and Recreational Paddling
• March 9. Sunday, 2 to 5pm – Pool Slalom.
• March 16. Sundays, 3 to 5pm – Roll Practice and Recreational Paddling
• John Muir Middle School Pool - Wausau, Wisconsin
• Equipment Needed: Boat, paddle recommended - some equipment available.
• Important Note:  Either ACA membership or ACA event membership ($ 10.00) will be required.  Waivers will need to be signed by all adults and parents of children.
• Cost: $ 3.00 per session per person
