To get to the Wausau Site, from the south, take Hwy 39 (formerly 51) north to exit 192, from exit 192 proceed east, which will become Stewart Avenue, Continue east past Marathon Park (which does have camping) Stewart Avenue will continue east until you come to the Wisconsin River. As you cross the first set of bridges, you will see a kayak statue ahead on the left, but the road will bend to the right and carry you east to the turnoff for River Drive, which is where Wausau Whitewater Park is. Parking is possible right in that area.
